Elder Law
For the elderly and disabled clients and their families, Jim provides a wide range of services including special needs trusts for the disabled, preservation of assets, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, medical directives and related services, including Medi-Cal Planning described below.

Medi-Cal Planning
Because of the increasing costs of skilled nursing care, Jim provides advice on qualification for Medi-Cal, preservation of assets through transfers, gifting and conversion, and prepares all the necessary documents to accomplish qualification and preservation.

Estate Planning
The comprehensive estate planning services which Jim provides give you the opportunity to state your personal desires for health care and financial affairs during your lifetime, and to direct to whom your assets will be distributed upon your death. These services include the preparation of revocable living trusts to avoid probate, estate tax avoidance trusts, irrevocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney for financial affairs, medical directives, special needs trusts for disabled children or adults, and all the related documents required to accomplish your wishes and needs.

Business and Real Estate Law
In this area, Jim assists individuals and businesses in the review and preparation of a variety of contracts required for business. In addition, Jim will assist you in incorporating a business, establishing a partnership or setting up a limited liability company to satisfy the needs of individuals or small to medium sized business.

Jim also has experience in real estate and will assist in preparing or reviewing a real estate contract, lease or related documents.
